Deliriants Matte Art Print

Medicinal, recreational, or just nasty ass drugs? You decide….this is the bonus edition of botanicals than can make you high, low, delirious and/or generally just change your perception and state of mind. From Ayahuasca, to Cannabis, to Jimsonweed, Peyote, and Wormwood.

This print pulls together a warm golden yellow as its anchor – the kind of saturated amber-gold you find on a ripe mango or a harvest moon – offset by the cool blue-black of the ink linework and punctuated by bursts of hot coral, lime green, magenta, and sky blue in the scattered confetti dots. That warm-cool tension, grounded in a dominant ochre, means it holds its own against walls in deep terracotta or burnt sienna (analogous neighbours to the gold), while the crisp monochrome linework lets it sit equally well against a warm off-white or a soft putty tone whose yellow undertone echoes the print’s own warmth. For contrast, a muted dusty teal – pulling from the cooler accents in the confetti – makes the golden circle ring out cleanly. The mood is somewhere between a Victorian natural-history plate and a carnival fever dream: meticulous, curious, and a little unhinged in the best way. That puts it squarely in maximalist, eclectic, botanical-curious, and dark-academia interiors – spaces that reward looking closely. It would be at home in a creative studio, a library corner, or a dining room where conversation needs something to spark it. Part of the Pillustrations collection, which brings an illustrative, layered sensibility to botanical and creature subjects, it pairs naturally with other prints from the range for a gallery wall that builds its own cabinet-of-curiosities atmosphere. It would make a considered gift for an illustrator, a natural-history enthusiast, or anyone whose walls already have a story to tell.

Printed with archival pigment inks on Enhanced Matte art paper – a smooth, gallery-grade stock with a soft, glare-free surface – the finish reads well under both natural light and artificial lighting without any of the reflective glare that can flatten detailed linework. The A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) size suits a shelf stack, a bedside wall, or a slot in a gallery arrangement where it can sit alongside companion Pillustrations prints; the A2 (42 × 59.4 cm) works as a proper statement piece, large enough for the botanical detail and confetti scatter to register from across a room. The matte surface takes equally well to a slim black or natural oak frame for a contemporary hang, or to a more ornate gilt or dark wood moulding for an eclectic or maximalist scheme. This print is also available as a 28 × 40 inch (70 × 100 cm) canvas print, ready to hang with no frame required.
