Fawn’s Rest Giclée Art Print

When I was a child I knew the story of Bambi by heart. Fawns and their delicate dotted features have always had a special place within the animals in my head. The final inspiration for the piece came from a fawn rescue place ( @fuzzyfawnwildlife) where injured or abandoned fawns are cared for and released back into the wild.

As to be expected this fawn loves the company of lush botanical art like our Fougere Fou print or Foliage collage

Curled quietly as if resting in a shaft of afternoon light, this print carries a palette of warm chestnut brown, soft cream, and dusty blush, set against a coral-terracotta background with a contrasting stroke of muted teal. Those warm, red-leaning undertones mean it sits beautifully against walls painted in a similar terracotta or a deep burnt sienna – an analogous pairing that lets the coral background breathe rather than clash. For a softer approach, warm off-white or a pale sand with yellow undertones picks up the cream of the fawn’s belly without competing with the livelier hues. The teal outline offers a genuine complementary contrast, so a room with a muted teal or sage-green wall can draw that accent colour forward and make the whole piece feel considered rather than accidental. In terms of style, the print sits naturally in boho and earthy maximalist interiors, where warm colour and organic subject matter are already at home; it works equally well in a Scandi-influenced nursery where one bold, warm-toned print is used as a deliberate focal point, or in a cottagecore living room layered with natural textures. Placement-wise, it suits a child’s bedroom, a reading nook, or a hallway where visitors encounter it at eye level – anywhere a moment of quiet warmth is welcome. This print belongs to the Fur & Feathers collection, a series that celebrates the inherent loveliness of our feathered and furry friends through vibrancy, personality, and warmth, and it groups beautifully with other prints from the collection for a gallery wall. It makes a thoughtful gift for new parents, animal lovers, or anyone furnishing a first home.

Printed using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® – a museum-grade cotton paper with a subtle felt texture – the surface is fully matte and glare-free, which means it reads clearly under both natural and artificial light and suits everything from a slim oak float frame to a more ornate gilded vintage frame without any unwanted reflection. At A4 (21 × 29.7 cm) or A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) it slots comfortably onto a shelf, a mantelpiece, or into a mixed gallery wall alongside other Fur & Feathers prints. The A2 (42 × 59.4 cm) size gives the fawn enough presence to hold a wall on its own in a smaller room, while the A1 (59.4 × 84.1 cm) works as a genuine statement piece in a living room or bedroom. At A0 (84.1 × 118.9 cm) the piece is large enough to anchor an entire wall, and the soft tonal warmth of the palette means it fills the space without overwhelming it. This print is also available as a 28 × 40 inch (70 × 100 cm) canvas, ready to hang with no frame needed.
