Trogons have a very characteristic shape, and like finches come in many colours. They are mostly found in South America. The word trogon means “nibbling” in Greek, referring to the birds gnawing holes in trees to make their nests.
The Drippy Bird series aims to portray the striking beauty of each of the birds in intricate painterly and sketched detail. The hints of delicate botanicals offset with the solid colour circle on a pristine while background make these instantly impactful, on their own as well as in a set.
