Budgerigar’s Midnight Adventure is an ode to stepping out of your comfort zone and braving the unknown. Budgies are generally a little afraid of the dark. Especially the sudden noises or movements within it not easy to see or identify can scare them.
A midnight-navy background dominates this print, lit from within by a glowing teal that fades to soft aqua, while looping cobalt brushstrokes swirl behind the budgerigar itself – a study in cream, soft grey-brown and black barring, with flashes of turquoise wing feathers and a small buttery-yellow beak.
