Chypre Giclée Art Print

Chypre is a zesty, playful mix with top notes of fresh bergamot and citrus notes, mellowing into warm woody base. Like an afternoon in the sun drenched Mediterranean countryside.

This is a design from the pattern and print series Les Parfums Bloom.

Les Parfums Bloom is a follow up of my series of scent illustrations featuring 4 of the main fragrance families used in perfumery; focusing on botanicals and abstract shapes to evoke a perfume’s intricate bouquet and mood.

These are square giclée prints, available in a variety of sizes and will suit a living area or hallway, either as a main hero wall piece, or as smaller highlights.

Vivid lemon yellow and a bold, true emerald green dominate this print, cooled by touches of mint and pale aqua in the background washes, with soft warm peach and creamy white appearing in the blossom details. That cool-warm tension is the key to placing it: walls in a deep forest green or a soft sage will sit harmoniously alongside the print’s own green tones, drawing the foliage into the room as though the citrus grove has simply extended itself onto the wall. For contrast, a warm terracotta or dusty peach – colours already whispering in the painted flowers – will make the lemon yellows sing without fighting the overall freshness. If you prefer a neutral ground, choose one with a cool grey-green or soft white undertone rather than a yellow-cream, which would flatten the citrus notes entirely. In terms of style, this print genuinely suits a Mediterranean or Coastal Botanical interior, where the abundance of greenery and ripe fruit feels instinctive; it also works in a Contemporary Maximalist or Eclectic scheme, where its layered brushwork and botanical detail reward a closer look. Kitchens, dining rooms, and garden rooms are the natural homes for a print that feels faintly edible and deeply alive. Part of the Les Parfums collection – an olfactory exploration translated into visual art – Chypre represents perfumery’s earthier, citrus-bright pillar, and it pairs beautifully with the other prints in the series for a gallery wall that is, in the artist’s own words, a treat for the imagination as much as the eyes. It would make a considered gift for anyone who loves cooking, gardens, or fragrance.

Printed using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® – a museum-grade cotton paper with a subtle felt texture – the matte, glare-free surface means you can position this print opposite a window without reflections competing with the artwork, and the surface sits equally well behind a slim black or white contemporary frame as behind something more ornate and gilded. The 8" square (20 × 20 cm) and 12" square (30 × 30 cm) sizes are ideal for a shelf arrangement or a tightly clustered gallery wall alongside the other Les Parfums prints; the 16" square (40 × 40 cm) and 24" square (60 × 60 cm) work as confident standalone pieces above a sideboard or kitchen dresser, where the botanical abundance fills the space without overwhelming it; and the 32" square (80 × 80 cm) and 40" square (100 × 100 cm) are room-anchoring at scale, genuinely able to hold a large dining room wall or a generous kitchen alcove on their own. This print is also available as a 28 × 40" (70 × 100 cm) canvas print, ready to hang with no frame needed.
