This is one of two exclusive custom illustrations made in collaboration with the famous Edinburgh Gin distillery. One of the brand’s key features is a distinct art Deco style of their bottle, label and font which was carried through into this illustration – highlighting the main botanicals used in the making of their gin. Printed on 308gsm heavyweight Hahnemühle fine art paper, this series is only available as giclée prints.
Rendered entirely in crisp black and ivory white, this striking print carries a graphic boldness that works hardest against walls with depth and warmth behind it – a deep charcoal, a soft warm off-white, or a rich bottle green all respond naturally to its monochrome palette, the latter echoing the botanical subject matter in a quietly tonal, analogous way. Cream and aged linen tones suit the ivory of the paper itself, creating a seamless, calm surround; for those who want contrast, a deep slate or near-black wall lets the white line-work radiate outward with real drama. The Art Deco geometry, the fan motifs, and the densely illustrated botanicals make this print a natural fit for a Gatsby-era maximalist interior, a refined cocktail bar aesthetic, or a contemporary monochrome scheme – and it would sit equally well in a graphic modernist space where bold line work does the decorating. Hang it in a home bar, a dining room, or a kitchen where gin holds a place of honour; it also works beautifully in a study or a narrow hallway where its vertical composition draws the eye upward. Part of the Edinburgh Gin Wall Art collection – described by its artist as a jubilant visual cocktail of contemporary creativity and botanical intrigue – it pairs naturally with other prints from the collection to build a gallery wall that feels curated rather than matched. A considered gift for a gin enthusiast, a home-bar devotee, or anyone with a taste for Art Deco interiors.
Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag®, a museum-grade cotton paper with a subtle felt texture, using archival pigment inks that render the fine cross-hatching and dense black areas with clean, precise edges – the matte, glare-free surface works well with slim black or brass-toned modern frames and equally with deeper ornate vintage mouldings, neither of which will fight reflections. The A4 sits neatly on a shelf or anchors a corner of a gallery wall; the A3 holds its own as a standalone piece in a smaller room; the A2 becomes a confident statement above a sideboard or bar cart; and the A1 is large enough to anchor an entire dining room wall, where its architectural symmetry and bold contrast earn the space they command. This print is also available as a 28×40 inch (70×100 cm) canvas, ready to hang with no frame needed.
