Spring Matte Art Print

This is the 1st instalment of my abstract pattern series inspired by the Four Seasons.

Foliage in growth, all the petals colours and sunshine creeping in – this one represents Spring.

The four part series is a happy mix of fun, vibrant colours and shapes with a nod to plants and foliage during the seasons as inspiration.

Alive with hot magenta, vivid lime green, burnt orange, deep purple-plum, and sharp red against bursts of white, Spring crackles with the restless energy of a season breaking loose – and it will pull a room together most convincingly when the walls give it something to push against or lean into. Walls painted in a warm off-white with a faintly yellow or cream undertone echo the pale golden passages in the composition without competing with them, letting the brighter hues do the talking. For a bolder scheme, a deep purple-plum – an analogous neighbour of the magenta already singing through the print – reads as if the wall and artwork were chosen together by design. If you want contrast, a fresh mid-green wall (tonal to the lime elements) creates a confident, slightly maximalist statement that a stylist would reach for in a room that earns attention. This print belongs to the Abstract Seasons collection, a series that moves through the year in saturated, kinetic colour; it pairs naturally with its companion pieces for a gallery wall that tells the full seasonal story. In the home, Spring sits most comfortably in spaces that can hold its energy – a playful home studio, a dining room used for long, loud dinners, or a child’s bedroom that deserves something genuinely vivid. Style-wise it speaks fluently to maximalist, neo-Memphis, contemporary eclectic, and bold Scandi interiors. It would make a striking gift for anyone who keeps the heating high and the walls anything but beige.

Printed with archival pigment inks on Enhanced Matte art paper – a smooth, gallery-grade stock with a soft, glare-free surface – the finish is museum-grade in the truest sense: colours sit dense and flat, with none of the reflection that pulls the eye away from the image. That matte surface works equally well behind the clean lines of a slim black or white metal frame and beneath the gilded rebate of an ornate vintage one. At A3 (29.7 × 42 cm) the print earns its place propped on a shelf or slotted into a gallery arrangement; at A2 (42 × 59.4 cm) it steps forward as a proper statement piece, strong enough to hold a wall on its own above a desk or beside a doorway where it catches the eye in passing. This print is also available as a 28 × 40 inch (70 × 100 cm) canvas print, ready to hang with no frame needed.
