Just out of the city centre is the picturesque area of Stockbridge which used to be host to a famous meat and general produce market. The market is no longer in swing at it’s original location – however the archway remains. This is part of a series of original illustrations featuring well (and sometimes lesser) known Edinburgh streets and monuments.
