Les Parfums Bloom is a follow up of my series of scent illustrations featuring 4 of the main fragrance families used in perfumery; focusing on botanicals and abstract shapes to evoke a perfume’s intricate bouquet and mood.
These are square giclée prints, available in a variety of sizes and will suit a living area or hallway, either as a main hero wall piece, or as smaller highlights.
Soft blush pink, warm coral-red, fresh leaf green, pale sage, chalk white, and touches of muted teal – these are the colours that move through this print, and they bring an immediately airy, garden-fresh quality to a room. Because the palette runs warm overall, with the blush and coral tones setting the temperature, walls in warm white or a pale warm cream sit closest to the print’s own undertones and let it breathe without competition. For a more deliberate pairing, a dusty rose or soft terracotta on a single feature wall picks up the coral-red directly and creates a quietly confident tonal scheme. The sage and leaf greens in the composition also open a natural bridge to muted sage or soft warm-grey-green walls, an analogous relationship that feels botanical and considered rather than matched. This print belongs to the Les Parfums collection – a series built around the four pillars of perfumery, each piece translated into colour and mark, and the Florale print evokes that "strolling down a blossom-scented path in a British garden at the height of spring" the collection promises. It pairs beautifully with the other Les Parfums prints across a gallery wall, and sits naturally in decorating styles a stylist would describe as botanical maximalist, romantic Scandi, contemporary cottage, or soft eclectic. Printed with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® – a museum-grade cotton paper with a fine felt texture – the surface is fully matte and glare-free, which means it reads just as well under artificial light as in daylight, and suits both a slim oak or white-lacquered frame and a more ornate gilded or antique-style frame with equal ease.
